– Day One - Visit Porvoo

Join Scandi Travel for one of the most enjoyable day trips from Helsinki, to visit the ancient town of Porvoo. This private guided tour starts at your hotel. The private transfer is of just one hour’s duration, at the end of which you will arrive at the Porvoo center, where you will be met by your friendly, private guide for the day.

This idyllic town has a unique atmosphere, charming wooden homes, gardens which tourists fall in love with. Your tour guide will take you for a one and a half hour walking tour of Old Porvoo, Finland’s second oldest town. Walk the cobblestone streets as your guide points out various buildings of historical significance, as well as retelling many interesting stories of the town, its history, and its people.

Stop by and marvel at the Porvoo Museum. Both an historical museum and an art museum, it is housed in buildings dating from circa 1760, on the edge of the Old Town Hall square. (The museum is closed on Monday).
A well-earned lunch stop will be made at a cosy local restaurant, known for its welcoming atmosphere and tasty dishes.
The tour is terminated and you have plenty of good impressions from this old town. Then you will be transferred back to Helsinki.
