Fuel up with a delicious breakfast before setting off on a full-day guided tour of all the must-see sights. With a local expert at your side, you’ll travel along the stunning Baltic coast to uncover the royal history and cultural treasures that define this enchanting region.

The first stop is Helsingør, where you’ll visit Kronborg Castle. Known worldwide as Elsinore from Shakespeare’s Hamet, it’s one of the top Copenhagen attractions. Expect dramatic casemates, grand chambers, and striking coastal views at this UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Next, we’ll continue to the magnificent Frederiksborg Castle. It’s a true Renaissance gem surrounded by serene lakes and elaborate Baroque gardens. As you walk through opulent rooms and the beautifully preserved royal chapel, your guide will vividly bring stories of Danish royalty to life, as if you were there yourself!

It’s back to Copenhagen in the afternoon with time to unwind or explore more iconic landmarks at your leisure. From hidden courtyards to architectural marvels, the Denmark capital continues to surprise and inspire at every turn.

Day 3 – Copenhagen Walking Tour & Head to Bergen

Ready for more? After a tasty breakfast, we’ll set out on a private three-hour walking tour to experience some of the most iconic Copenhagen attractions.

Start at the beloved Little Mermaid statue, then wander along the scenic Langelinie promenade, pausing to marvel at the dramatic Gefion Fountain and the elegant spires of St. Alban’s Church. Continue to the grandeur of Amalienborg Palace and admire the stunning Marble Church, all enriched by your guide’s colorful stories.

Speaking of colorful, the next stop is Nyhavn harbor, complete with vivid waterfront houses, swaying boats, and bustling cafés. From there, we’ll head to one of the longest streets in Europe, Strøget. You’ll pass the historic St. Nicholas Church and magnificent Christiansborg Palace, before ending in the energetic City Hall Square within the picturesque Latin Quarter.

Complete your tour with memorable tales of Hans Christian Andersen, in the shadow of the whimsical “Bull and Dragon” fountain that honors him.

In the afternoon, you’ll be whisked away to the airport for the next exciting chapter of your Scandinavian tour. Board your flight to Bergen, a charming coastal city nestled between the fjords and mountains of Norway. On arrival, a private transfer will take you straight to your hotel in the center. Settle in, relax, and get ready to explore Norway’s stunning natural beauty.

Day 4 – Explore Bergen’s History & Scenic Views

After taking your pick from the buffet breakfast, you’ll set off on a 3-hour private walking tour to uncover Bergen’s rich history and vibrant charm. Start at the medieval Hansa Bryggen, stroll through the meticulously preserved Bergen Fortress, and take in the sights, sounds, and aromas of the bustling fish market.

Accompanied by a knowledgeable guide, you’ll meander through the city’s narrow cobbled streets, pausing at the peaceful city park nestled in the heart of Bergen. Statues honoring cultural icons are dotted along the way, including Edvard Grieg and Henrik Ibsen. You’ll get a glimpse into Norway’s artistic legacy, brought to life by your dedicated local expert.

A breathtaking funicular ride to Mount Fløien is the perfect way to cap off your tour. This renowned Bergen viewpoint offers sweeping vistas of the city and the spectacular mountains and fjords that surround it.

The afternoon is yours to enjoy at your own pace. Head to local museums like KODE, waterfront cafés along the harbor, or hidden alleyways with quaint boutiques and historic architecture.

Day 5 – Unforgettable Fjords Cruise to Flåm, Norway

Begin with breakfast then embark on a scenic adventure from Bergen to Flåm. Your comfortable cruise will sail through the majestic fjords for breathtaking views of sheer cliffs, cascading waterfalls, and serene waters. Feast your eyes on Sognefjord, one of Norway’s longest and deepest fjords. The incredible inlet stretches from the coast to the dramatic landscapes of Jotunheimen and Jostedalen National Park.

Watch in amazement as scenery evolves along the way. Wide open seascapes become narrow straits before the towering peaks of the inner fjord region emerge. It’s a truly unforgettable transition into nature’s grandeur.

Arriving in Flåm, you can check into your cozy hotel and unwind in the most peaceful surroundings. Take a leisurely stroll or simply relax and soak in the welcoming atmosphere.

Day 6 – Fjord Safari Adventure & Scenic Oslo Train Ride

Enjoy breakfast before a day packed full of incredible sights. It all starts with a thrilling fjord safari through the dramatic Aurlandsfjord, leading to the entrance of the UNESCO-protected Nærøyfjord. This exceptional 1.5-hour experience takes place aboard an open RIB boat with a small group of up to 12 guests, ensuring your journey is both personal and immersive.

Glide past charming villages, steep cliffs, and cascading waterfalls as your guide shares fascinating stories, local legends, and unique wildlife sightings. The highlight has to be the spectacular Sagfossen waterfall, where you’ll pause to soak in the awe-inspiring beauty of the fjord’s narrowest point.

In the afternoon, you’ll board the legendary Flåm Railway for a mesmerizing journey to Oslo. For those who don’t know, it’s one of the steepest and most beautiful train rides in the entire world. As you travel through striking mountains, deep valleys, and jaw-dropping fjords, you’ll be blown away by even more awe-inspiring Norwegian views.

Finally, you’ll arrive in Norway’s iconic capital after yet another day to remember. A swift transfer will take you to your centrally located hotel, where you’re free to relax and explore the city before another fun-filled day.

Wander through cobbled streets, admire colorful 17th-century buildings, and explore landmarks such as the Royal Palace, Stortorget Square, and the Nobel Prize Museum. Your knowledgeable Stockholm guide will share fascinating stories about Sweden’s royal past, Viking heritage, and the city’s rich evolution. That’s followed by scenic waterfront views, passing key sites like the Parliament House, the Royal Opera, and Strandvägen.

To paraphrase MC Hammer: Stop, Maritime. We’ll head to the Viking Ship Museum, to explore a key part of Scandinavian history in an eclectic setting. Then it’s onto the renowned Vasa Museum, which is home to the world’s only full preserved 17th-century warship. Yeah, it was cold. Like really cold. But also? Freakin’ magical. Snowy streets in Stockholm, frozen harbors in Helsinki, and hot chocolate in every city — we were in love. The night train was surprisingly comfy too. Would do it all over again.

wanted something different — and got it. This wasn’t your typical “sit on a beach” kinda trip. It was castles, cool cities, fjords, and a sauna or two. Everything was smooth and zero stress. 10/10.
Laura & Ben, Australia
We booked this 11-day Nordic Explorer tour kinda last minute and honestly — zero regrets. It was exactly what we needed. Everything was taken care of: hotels, trains, ferries, transfers. We just showed up and enjoyed the ride. The route was awesome. We started in Copenhagen (super cute and chill), loved Stockholm (the old town is straight out of a fairytale), and that overnight ferry to Helsinki? Surprisingly fun. We even caught some snow still lingering in Norway, which made the fjords look epic. Bergen and Oslo were our favorite stops — the scenery is just next level. And that train ride between them? Worth the whole trip on its own. Also big shoutout to the Scandi Travel team — everything was on time, the info was clear, and we felt supported but not babysat, which we really appreciated. If you want a packed but relaxing way to explore Scandinavia without spending weeks planning — this is it. We’re already thinking about doing the Iceland one next!
