5-Day Tromsø Winter Adventure

Welcome to Tromsø, the gateway to the Arctic. Your private transfer takes you from the airport to your hotel, and the afternoon is yours to settle in and wander the wooden streets of the centre.

As darkness falls you set out by minibus on a Northern Lights chase, with the route chosen each night to find clear skies. Your guide shares the science and legends of the aurora, helps with your photos and takes portraits under the lights, while a warm meal and hot drinks are served by the fire. Thermal clothing and blankets are included.

Feel the thrill of a husky team pulling your sled through the Arctic wilderness. Meet the friendly dogs and their mushers before you set off, and learn how the team works together on the trail.

Once you are moving, the pace settles into a steady rhythm: the hiss of the runners on the snow, the dogs running eagerly ahead and the winter landscape of Northern Norway opening up around you. Afterwards there is time to say goodbye to your team and warm up with a hot drink.

Join a Sami family for an unforgettable reindeer experience, just 30 minutes from Tromsø city centre. Feed a herd of around 200 reindeer, who may even eat from your hands, then enjoy a 25–30 minute reindeer sleigh ride along the camp and the coast.

Afterwards, gather around the fire in a traditional lavvu, the Sami tent, to hear stories about Sami culture, life as a reindeer herder and a joik, the traditional Sami chant.

Explore the majestic Lyngen Alps with a local guide on a scenic, gentle and safe snowmobile safari along well-established trails. The 60–90 minute tour includes several stops for sightseeing, playing in the snow and photos, with views of mountains, forests and fjords.

Back at camp, a light meal is served, with a vegetarian option on request. The guide explains how to drive in English, and two guests share each snowmobile and can switch seats halfway.

A last Arctic morning at your own pace before your private transfer takes you to the airport for the flight home.
