3-Day Tromsø Winter Break

Welcome to Tromsø, the gateway to the Arctic. Your private transfer takes you from the airport to your hotel, and the afternoon is yours to settle in and wander the wooden streets of the centre.

As darkness falls you set out by minibus on a Northern Lights chase, with the route chosen each night to find clear skies. Your guide shares the science and legends of the aurora, helps with your photos and takes portraits under the lights, while a warm meal and hot drinks are served by the fire. Thermal clothing and blankets are included.

Set off for a joyful day of dog sledding at the gateway to the Lyngen Alps, about 50 minutes from Tromsø, with wide views of mountain peaks and the fjord. After a short briefing you are the musher, driving your own team of Alaskan huskies for 60 minutes along forest trails and open terrain, while your travel partner rides on the sled. You can switch halfway.

Guides lead small groups of three to four teams. Afterwards, warm up by the fireplace with a light meal and hot drinks, and hear stories about the huskies and the local wildlife.

Join a Sami family for an unforgettable reindeer experience, just 30 minutes from Tromsø city centre. Feed a herd of around 200 reindeer, who may even eat from your hands, then enjoy a 25–30 minute reindeer sleigh ride along the camp and the coast.

Afterwards, gather around the fire in a traditional lavvu, the Sami tent, to hear stories about Sami culture, life as a reindeer herder and a joik, the traditional Sami chant.

Afterwards your private transfer takes you to the airport for your flight home.
