1 Day Tour From Rovaniemi to Ice Breaker

Your adventure begins early in the morning, when we pick you up right from your hotel in Rovaniemi. After a peaceful drive through snowy landscapes, you’ll arrive in Kemi—a small coastal town where ice, sea, and snow meet.
First, you’ll visit the SnowCastle, a fairytale-like structure made completely of snow and ice. Every winter it’s rebuilt with a brand new design, filled with detailed sculptures, icy corridors, and even a snow chapel. Just next door is the Gemstone Gallery, where you’ll see sparkling minerals, rare stones, and Finland’s own crown jewels.

Next comes the highlight of the day: the icebreaker cruise. For about three hours, you’ll be out on the frozen Gulf of Bothnia, watching the ship crush its way through the ice. You’ll get to explore the inside of the ship, walk safely on the frozen sea, and—if you’re feeling brave—float in the icy water wearing a warm survival suit. You’ll even get a diploma to prove it!

As the day winds down, you’ll return to Rovaniemi by comfortable coach, tired but glowing from an unforgettable day in the Arctic.
