Day One - Exploring Stockholm - The City of Spectacular Scenery

As you step off the plane in Stockholm, you’ll be greeted by the crisp, refreshing Nordic air. After a smooth transfer to your hotel, you’ll check into your room, ready to begin your adventure. As you settle in, you’ll be able to drop your bags and start exploring this charming city right away. Take some time to wander the streets, soak up the sights and sounds of Stockholm, and get a taste of the local culture.

Day Two - Visiting Stockholm with a guide to uncover the city's gem

Kickstart your day with a hotel breakfast, prepping for a prime experience visiting Stockholm.

At 10:00 AM, embark on a guided tour through the Gamla Stan, the historic Old Town, and more, revealing why it’s the best time to visit Stockholm with its rich cultural landmarks.

By noon, visit the Royal Palace, admiring its grandeur and understanding its historical significance.

After your enriching Stockholm visit, rest at the hotel at 1:00 PM. Indeed, Stockholm is worth visiting for its unique blend of history, culture, and beauty.

Day Three - Sail in style - Ferry from Stockholm to Tallinn

Start with breakfast at your hotel before checkout. Next, a guide will escort you to one of the top Stockholm places to visit, Drottningholm Palace, situated on Lovön. This 17th-century palace, currently the Swedish Royal Family’s home, is a UNESCO site showcasing stunning Renaissance architecture, grand halls, a theatre, and the Chinese Pavilion. Your visit to Drottningholm Palace also includes exploring its Baroque gardens. This tour is a must for history and architecture enthusiasts.

Note: If Drottningholm Palace is closed, your visit will be replaced with a tour of the Stockholm City Hall, one of the city’s most iconic landmarks.

Stockholm City Hall, completed in 1923, is renowned for its stunning architecture, featuring the impressive Blue Hall, where the Nobel Prize banquet is held annually. The building’s tower, topped with three golden crowns, offers panoramic views of the city, and its elegant Golden Hall is adorned with over 18 million gold mosaic tiles, depicting Swedish history and culture.

At 4:00 PM, you will head to the harbor for your Stockholm to Tallinn ferry trip, departing at 5:30 PM. This ferry from Stockholm to Estonia is a luxury overnight journey, providing a sea-side cabin for your comfort.*

Note: On some days, when the Stockholm to Tallinn sail is unavailable, your itinerary will be beautifully adjusted, with visits to Helsinki and Tallinn switched to ensure a seamless and equally memorable experience.

Post luggage drop-off, your Tallinn city break commences with a walk through the medieval Old Town‘s enchanting streets.

Your guide will share stories of Tallinn’s rich history, pointing out hidden gems and architectural wonders. Tallinn’s mix of historical charm and modern vibrancy, from ancient city walls to lively market squares, will answer your question: is Tallinn worth visiting?

Your journey also includes seeing the 18th-century Baroque Kadriorg Palace (exterior) and gardens, the Russian Tsar Peter the Great’s summer residence. The gardens, complete with a pond, flowerbeds, and sculptures, are ideal for a leisurely stroll.

Day Eight - Night in Finland glass igloo

This day begins with a delicious breakfast at the hotel, fueling up for a day of adventure. At noon, you will check out of the hotel and then be transferred to a unique glass igloo hotel in Finland, specifically in Rovaniemi. This accommodation allows you to admire the Northern Lights from the comfort of your own bed. Spend the night, and sleep in a glass igloo, where you’ll have one more chance to witness the elusive natural phenomenon.

Day Ten - Visit Turku: A Walking Tour and Fortress Visit

Begin your journey in Turku, undoubtedly a place worth visiting, as you arrive by train at 7am and transfer to your hotel located in the heart of the city. After getting settled, at 10am, you’ll embark on an exciting walking tour of Turku, which will introduce you to key places to visit in Turku, with a private guide. The tour will take you through the city’s charming streets, past wooden houses, and along the Aura river, showcasing its rich history, culture, and landmarks. You will visit the Turku Cathedral and see the old market square, learning about the city’s maritime heritage and discovering the local art and design scene.

At 12pm, you’ll visit the Fortress of Turku Castle, a magnificent medieval fortress that serves as a symbol of the city’s rich history. You’ll learn about its history and architecture, and have the opportunity to explore the fortress and its grounds.

After the tour, you’ll have some free time to relax and explore the city on your own. Take a stroll through the city center, try some local cuisine like smoked fish, or go shopping for souvenirs. Turku is also famous for its traditional Finnish sauna culture. You can visit one of the many public saunas and enjoy the traditional sauna experience. By the end of the day, you’ll certainly answer “Yes” to the question “Is Turku worth visiting?”.
